THE BRANCH BANK OF BUDSVILLE

C. Holcomb 2019,  60”  6.5”  67  7way,  SEV DIP,  Mid,  Yellow with a faint dusting of red curry along the mid ribs.

( Apricot Spider X Marked By Lydia ) X Eli Murphy

I couldn’t think of a more appropriate name for this flower. Of the seven branches, five of them bifurcate and the other two appear in triplicate.  See the scape photo.  Along with that there is modest bud building.  There is a lot of sail space for the BBB and in spite of my windy  site, I have never lost a scape to the wind.  It also displays, from time to time, what I call rollercoaster branching that some of you have seen in Jim Murphy’s, “Crooked”.  Eli Murphy has to be the source of that characteristic.  Setting pods, though possible, isn’t worth the effort, but the pollen is great.  If you want a tall plant for the back of the border or dream of creating a tall well-branched UF or spider, the golden pollen that has been deposited in THE BRANCH BANK OF BUDSVILLE  is available for withdrawal.
