I’m a sucker for a good spider or UF and Pat Stamile has some great ones.  They are put to the test  in my zone 6 garden here in the mountains of Virginia.  We can have extended periods of below freezing weather and occasional days below zero. The cold can tamp down both the vigor and habit of evergreens that would perform well in a milder climate.  Curt Hanson’s Swallow Tail Kite added to the beauty of  this flower and gave it the hardiness it needs for this region.  It is fertile both ways. Find it in bookstores everywhere, and yes, it’s SOON TO BE A MAJOR PICTURE, with cameos from Pat and Curt.
