Why, on God’s green earth, would anyone register a flower with two branches and  eight buds per scape?  They should be dragged out of their houses and pummeled with a wet carp!   But… … surprise, surprise, surprise!   This is one of the longest blooming flowers in my garden.  It sends up two additional sets of scapes for a long bloom season.  Initially the goal was for intensity of color; a color on color cross.  The color is there and the branching issue can be, and has been, addressed in another generation.  If you’re a Virginia Tech sports fan you will love the colors.  Don’t they have great teams?  Boy Howdy!
